Update Nov 23th: Sony Creative Space has now come and gone. The only announcement from the Creative Space event was for the Sony A1 II, no news of a Sony FX3 II or an A7S IV.

Given that 2024 is drawing to a close with no news for a potential FX3 Mark II on the near horizon, our suggestion is to keep an eye out for any deals on the current FX3. And if you need the camera for an upcoming project there is no reason to wait for a hypothetical future replacement.

Our Prediction:

We're basing this prediction on Sony's release schedule for the A7S line (which is closely related to the FX3) where there was a 5-year gap between the A7S II and III.

We currently predict the newest generation of Sony FX3 to be released in the fall or winter of 2025.

Given that we haven't received any news or substantial leaks, it's hard to believe that Sony would be able to release the camera before that date.
